Max Mueller has been awarded a contract from Basic Books for his second monograph, Wakara’s America: A Native and American History of the West.
Morgan Palmer presented a paper at the 2021 European Association for the Study of Religions conference on “Resilient Religion” hosted by the University of Pisa, Italy. She also taught a course entitled “Religious Women and Peacemaking” at Saint Paul United Methodist Church in downtown Lincoln from Sept. 13-October 11.
Morgan has had papers accepted at several national and international conferences that will take place in 2022: at the SCS (Society for Classical Studies) Annual Meeting in San Francisco in January, at “Conflict Resolutions in Ancient and Modern Contexts III” at the Universidade do Estado do Amazonas, Manaus, Brazil in June, and at the XVI Congressus Internationalis Epigraphiae Graecae et Latinae in Bordeaux, France in September.
Vanessa Gorman is going to present a workshop on “Teaching Accelerated Greek and Latin in the Digital Age in High School or College” with Kelly Zach, an undergraduate Greek student here at UNL, and software designer Zach Fletcher (Classics MA, Tufts University) of the Perseids Project, at the Classical Association of the Middle West and South (CAMWS) Annual Meeting in March 2022.
