The Department of Classics and Religious Studies will host their annual Halloween battle reenactment on October 31st at 4:00 p.m. at Meier Commons, the green space north of the Union. The event is open to all students.

This year’s reenactment will be the Battle of Actium: the showdown between Octavian and Mark Antony, who was supported by Cleopatra. This famous naval battle effectively ended the Roman republic. The annual department battle is meant to be an entertaining learning experience outside of the classroom. Come connect with fellow students and engage with history in a fun and hands-on way.

Food from Jimmy John's will be provided following the event. You can also join the Classics Club the evening before the event for a boat making party in room 11 of Andrews Hall at 6:30 p.m.
