Dr. Sabine Doering is one of the leading scholars world-wide on Friedrich Holderlin, one of Germany's most significant poets.  Prof. Doering's current research project and the topic of her lecture will be of value to scholars at UNL working on Romanticism, the reception of classical learning in the 18th- and 19th-century, religious history and the secularization of religious language in Europe around 1800, and the history of the Continental philosophy.
